charging specs for sam's batteries?
« on: October 09, 2010, 08:23:05 AM »
anyone have the charging voltage/specific gravity specs for the johnson control 6v 220ah batteries from sam's?  i found the info for the trojan 'equivalent', and figure it's probably close enough...but if anyone had the stuff for the JC's, i would know for sure.

thanks.

Hi,

I have 10 of the same batteries. I coulnd't find any details on them either. Mine are marked "Energizer", but Energizer doesn't actually make SLA battteries. Anyway, I have been charging them to 14.4V and considering them charged when the current drops to between 1.5 or 2 amps per battery. The hydrometer says they are charged at that point. Mine are 1.5 years old and they seem just fine, but they are still pretty new.

HTH,

Jonathan
