A little help...

I ran the Fieldlines.com 'Reply to This' page through the an HTML validator (http://validator.w3.org/). There are quite a few markup errors on that page. There are some tags that are not closed. There is one place where the 'FORM' close tag is not found and then there is another place where the end '/FORM' tag is found without an open 'FORM' tag. This is probably what is causing the problem with IE not being able to 'Preview' or 'Post' a reply. Firefox and some other browsers may just ignore the errors or parse the page in a way that avoids the error.

Well, I just installed Firefox because I could not post with IE8. Appears to be an IE8 Problem.

Its not a IE problem, its a problem with the fieldlines forum software, IE is working perfectly. IE is just doing whats its supposed to do and not processing a page with a broken form. Chances are a future update to Firefox will cause it to behave in the same way as IE is now.

I'm sure the administrators are aware of the problem and working on a fix as we speak :)

I just downloaded Firefox and now I can do everything here. But maneuvering around the forum is slow and i haven't figured how to get to my Hotmail account yet. At least I can post here and Firefox seams to be much faster at other sites. The spell checker with Firefox is a real plus. I think one of those recent updates from MS was to IE8 because I wasn't running IE8 a few days ago when all was fine.
