I still cannot reply to a post, try it this way

Hello Dan, Glenn and all,

Dave M. and Dave B. here at royalfabrication and what a nice surprise to see the 222 blades flying out there. We have been wondering ourselves about the blades and we are happy to see them in use, thank you very much for posting the photos and story behind it. Keep us posted on their performance, they really like to run once up to speed and we seem to like heavier for the same reasons you mention.

Those blades are Poplar and I'm sure those who know their wood species will ask what type ? Poplar is popular here in the East, I have what's called Tulip Poplar on my property, I don't know all the specifics but it's tight grained, dense and is used on cabinets. We carve laminated Ash blades as well as Yellow Pine also to the same profile up to 10' length.

We are interested to know what type of finish you have put on these and how it holds up. Thank you again for posting this, Dave and I are happy to see them being put to very good use.

  Dave B. & Dave M.

OK so perhaps this is a browser issue...
might be interesting (just so we know for sure) if people using internet exploder 8 clear all their cookies then try.  Doubtful that will help - I seem to have the same trouble posting with Mozilla.

Different topic:  Dave - yes thanks again for those blades and sorry we wound up cutting them down - it seemed a waste, it's just that we've not had a good 12' candidate to run them on.

We just finished them with linseed oil - its pretty dry here so theyll hold up fine.
