It looks to be really good.

Is your system something like

in this drawing?

Taisto is using such a system for

his small commercial Marlec wind generator.

It is quite funny that the horse figure

on the wall in your picture is just

similar as Taisto has got on his wall...

Where are you located?

i used a salviged garage door track it is very strong and attached to the fiberglass poll with deck screws and i welded 1" x 316 metal straps at each 10'joint after i fit the straps to the pole. i put an extra strap at 5' below the top where the most stress would be,and one at the top, the pole came with a heavy alunium cap that was intended for a light attachment. i reworked this to accept a heavy bearing pully and installed 100' of 5/16 cable over it. i dont see an attachment button here so i will post some pictures that should explane the machinics of getting the gene up. i hope this helps others who cannot climb or lift  but want to join the fun. thinks for looking pepa.

this is actually two fiber composit fiberglass telephone poles, one was not long enough so i cut 20' foot from another one and slid it over the top of the first one, it doubles the strength and increases the length sinse the all have the same taper but have different size bases. thanks for looking i hope this helps pepa

a small company maned lowcountry tectnoliges in south carolina makes all kind of poles for different applications. light poles, flag poles, electric transformer poles. ect. they exray each one and reject the ones that dont prove up. i needed sone for our riding club arena lights. they gave me two trailor loads of different sizes. about 30 poles. my friend worked there at one time and took me over to talk to them. it took a long time for me to get the smile back to regular size after that visit. pepa
